da mrbet: Before a ball was kicked for the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, the only thing on the minds of all Leeds United supporters was securing survival come the end of May.

da bet nacional: With over half the season now already done, the Whites currently sit a staggering eight points clear of the drop zone, with Daniel Farke’s side in a better position than many fans would have imagined.

The German deserves huge credit for moving away from his 4-2-3-1 system in favour of a three-back system, which has led to a run of just one loss in their last nine outings.

However, with the January window now open, it presents the manager with another opportunity to add further quality into his squad and bolster their survival chances further.

With the window now in full swing, the Whites have already identified numerous potential additions, with work being conducted on various deals at present.

Leeds now want to sign Premier League attacker

Over the last couple of days, Leeds have been in talks with Bundesliga side Werder Bremen over a potential deal to land attacking midfielder Romano Schmid.

It’s been reported that negotiations are underway for the Austrian international, who has already registered seven combined goals and assists in his first 17 appearances this season.

Any deal for the 25-year-old could prove to be a bargain one for Farke’s side, with a deal expected to cost a fee in the region of £12m with add-ons expected on top.

However, he’s not the only option currently being considered by the hierarchy, with Fulham star Harry Wilson also in their sights.

According to TEAMtalk, the Whites have ‘strong interest’ in the Wales international, that’s despite missing out on the attacker during the summer transfer window.

The report also states that the £55k-per-week earner, who has registered 11 goal contributions this season, is out of contract in the summer, which could force Marco Silva’s side to sell him.

However, if Farke’s side are to land him in the near future, they will have to fend off keen interest from the likes of Everton, Sunderland and Nottingham Forest.

Why Wilson would be a better addition than Schmid for Leeds

As previously mentioned, Leeds are currently pursuing a move for Schmid this winter, with a real focus on improving the quality available in the final third.

Farke’s men have scored 30 goals in their first 22 outings to date, with such a record being the eighth lowest of any side in the division during the 2025/26 campaign.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is currently the club’s top-scorer in the Premier League this term, with the Englishman’s tally of nine nearly double that of any of his teammates.

Should any injury occur to the centre-forward in the near future, it would leave the side massively short of goals, with Schmid potentially helping fill that void in the final third.

However, despite the potential arrival of the Austrian in Yorkshire, the board should look past a move for his signature and place their focus on a deal for Wilson.

The Welshman has set the Premier League alight in recent months, subsequently handing Farke the English top-flight option he could need in their survival battle.

When comparing the pair’s respective stats from the ongoing campaign, the Fulham star has dominated in key areas, further highlighting why he would be a better addition.

Wilson, who’s been dubbed “incredible” by Bence Bocsak, has registered more combined goals and assists whilst also achieving a 34% shot on target rate.

Such figures show his dominance in front of goal, which could hand Farke the added attacking threat he appears to be searching for during the current window.

The Welsh international has also completed more of the passes he’s attempted this season, which could also allow the side to have an added creative option in the pockets between the midfield and frontline.

His dominance over Schmid is further reflected in his greater tallies of take-ons completed and carried into the opposition box, which reaffirms his quality in attacking areas.

The opposition have largely struggled to contain the Fulham star when he’s been in possession, as seen by his tally of 1.4 fouls won – a tally higher than that of the Austrian attacker.

Given the stats produced by both players, it’s evident that they would both be superb additions, but Wilson would offer the side the added cutting edge they’re lacking.

It’s unclear how much a deal would cost Farke’s men this winter, but the board should be pulling out all of the stops to ensure they don’t miss out on his signature to a divisional rival.

Leeds can forget Doekhi by signing Bijol replacement who once cost £38m
